Bormio, 1225 m., is situated in the heart of a wide valley surrounded by lots of mountains among which there is the Mount Reit, 3075 meters high, that is in the Stelvio National Park. Where the streets for Livigno, Stelvio and Valfurva meet, the resort links the charm of the mountains and the ski together with that of an ancient history which is still today reflected on its characteristic historical centre.
The starting point is Roma street, characteristic pedestrian street, flanked with ancient palaces.
At the beginning of the street you can find the beautiful church in Romanesque Style named after Saint Vitale, and after few steps the massive Tour of Alberti.

From Roma street you can get to Piazza Cavour, also known as Piazza “del Kuerc”. Here there is the imposing church named after S. Gervasio and Protasio. Behind the Kuerc there is the high Tour of the Hours. In the upper part of the tows there is the 17th –century Palazzo De Simoni which guests the Civic Museum, one of the most important of Valtellina.
WORLD CUP
Bormio with its Stelvio slope has been more times the theatre of the Ski World Cup races and has also hosted the World Championship in 2005.

The modern and functional structure of Bormio Terme is the ideal place where you can relax and restore after a sporting-day. Bormio Terme is supplied by the Cinglaccia source, from where springs out hot water of 38–40 degrees, that is particulary indicated for skin desease, digestive and locomotor system and for rehabilitation after fractures.
BAGNI DI BORMIO SPA RESORT
In addition to Bormio Terme there are the Bagni di Bormio Spa Resort, which are composed of two different structures: Bagni Vecchi and Bagni Nuovi.
The structure of Bagni Vecchi is divided into 5 sectors each with a different thermal treatment: Imperial Baths (toning), Medieval Baths (regenerating), Roman Baths (relaxing), Saint Martino Grotto (purifying) and the four season swimming pool (antistress).
